The strategy phase came first — interviews with internal and external stakeholders, distilled into a vision of how the digital landscape would look in 2015 and what Svenska Spel's interfaces would need to meet it.
The design answer was radical in its simplicity: one UX platform for every game. One system, one logic, endless content.
“One platform for every game wasn't a limitation. It was the whole idea.”
— Johan Ronnestam
Ronnestam Creative Studio designed the UX, with designers Daniel Stridsberg and Jonas Theder crafting the interfaces. The platform was delivered in 2012 — fold-out menus and interface patterns in place before Facebook and the other leading social networks introduced them, and long before anyone talked about foldable devices.
Years later, the industry caught up. That is what a design platform built to last looks like.
