In 2017, Kinnarps, a leader in office furniture solutions, commemorated its 75th anniversary at the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair. Collaborating with Johan Ronnestam Creative Studio and architectural firm Förstberg Ling, Kinnarps unveiled an award-winning, semi-transparent stand that artfully showcased its rich history and forward-thinking vision.

The Problem

Marking a 75-year milestone required more than a conventional exhibition stand. Kinnarps sought an innovative design that would not only honor its legacy but also reflect its commitment to modern workspace solutions. The challenge was to create a space that was both commemorative and forward-looking, engaging visitors in a meaningful experience.

The Solution

Johan Ronnestam Creative Studio, in collaboration with Förstberg Ling, conceptualized a semi-transparent, monochrome stand that served as an architectural monument to Kinnarps' 75-year journey. The design featured:

Semi-Transparent Construction: The stand's translucent materials symbolized openness and innovation, inviting visitors to explore Kinnarps' past, present, and future.
Monochrome Palette: A unified color scheme provided a cohesive backdrop, allowing Kinnarps' products and services to stand out prominently.
Custom Furniture: Unique pieces were designed specifically for the stand, enhancing the overall aesthetic and functionality.
