The ambition was to create a visual world that felt modern, precise and unmistakably Scandinavian.
A space where the product could stand confidently on its own — not through decoration, but through form, materiality and clarity.
The concept draws on three pillars:
– Architectural composition, focusing on structure, scale and light.
– Material storytelling, using textures, surfaces and colour to elevate the product.
– Visual tension, blending the real and the surreal to give the object presence.
This approach allowed the humble plug to be read as an intentional design element, ready for brand, campaign and product launch.
To execute the concept, we combined crafted photography with high-end 3D environments. Photographer Jonas Lindström captured the physical product with a sculptural approach — controlled light, clean silhouettes and a quiet confidence.
3D artist Anton Åsberg created a series of digital worlds built around scale, contrast and expressive material studies. Together, the two mediums form a flexible visual system that allows Cords to shift seamlessly between hero imagery, product storytelling and world-building.
The result is a bold, cohesive and visually striking identity for Cords — a design-led expression that elevates the power plug from technical detail to contemporary object. The work now forms the foundation for how Cords presents itself across touchpoints, setting a clear visual direction for future brand development.
