Disruption is the word that describes how your company is being annihilated by new smaller companies that challenges your existing business model, your products, services, price structure, branding and marketing. To avoid being disrupted, gather your best people on a deserted island (or similar) and ask yourselves these 10 questions. Bring tons of paper and pens in all the colors you can think of. Make sure the room you're in got walls that'll last hours of brainstorming and then get going. The answers should lead you into the future:
- How can we finance giving away our products for free.
- What other technology will change how people use our products.
- What technology could replace our existing product and services.
- If I was 20 years younger. What brand would be most important to me and how does that brand compare to us.
- How can I make people have more fun at work, work less hours but still deliver more.
- If we were to make all our products sustainable today. How would it change them and the way we produce and deliver them.
- How can we save the planet?
- How do our products & services enable people to become what they want in life?
- If our product was part of an ecosystem, how would that look and how can we build it?
- If people only found our competitors in Google, what would happen?
- If all our IT systems broke down and we needed to start over, how would we build it today?
- Are people buying our products & services or our brand?
- What's our vision?
- Why are we in business?
