Since a couple of days ago Yahoo Live is Live. This new site allows anyone with a webcam to stream live video of themselves to a dedicated site.

All their technology isn’t in place obviously

Of course live streaming has been available before, but the fact that you don’t have to pay shitloads of money + you automatically insert your stuff into a larger network makes me bet we’ll see this being used in online campaigns soon. It’s especially interesting to see how Yahoo Live is using Twitter to make sure you can keep up to date when a good show comes on – smart.

Yahoo Live however is not the first. Other services include Stickam, Justin.tv, Ustream and Blogtv.

Found it through TechCrunch

The service is still very much in its infancy and has been down at times. Since the website is already telling that there are 2134+ people watching 89+ live channels, its understood that there is quite a bit of load on it very quickly
