Would you:

a) Rethink the layout of your store today
b) Rethink the layout of your store next year
c) Rethink the layout of your store within the next three years

I think the answer is quite obvious. Then why the hell doesn’t more brands and companies care more about how people being converted through their online presence today, this hour and this minute.

Whenever you have questions about your online marketing and communication activities simply ask yourselves – What would I do in the offline world. The answer to that question can always be translated into a digital solution. It goes for marketing, design, online events, social communication, choice of technology and more. I call this Commons Sense Communication.

Common sense really!

Smart move. Just when we’re about to be swarmed with augmented reality apps Google takes a step forward and turns the whole hype into something mainstream.

Yesterday the search company introduced a number of new things. Apart from the new live search my favorite was Google Goggles. A new app for the Android that let’s you search the world through the lens of your mobile camera. I bet at least one company will have this functionality actually turned in to a pair of ‘goggles’ before 2010 is over.

So far Google hasn’t decided if the app will let you recognize faces. But rest assured if they won’t someone else will! This type of technology is exactly what every security company in the world are craving for. The next time you rob a bank – remember you will be searched and logged with some kind of Google app

I visited Twingly today to see the rating of my Whiskyblog when I noticed this little screensaver. Unfortunately it’s only available for PC users. But it seems like a pretty cool thing.

The Twingly screensaver is visualizing the global blog activity in real time. With Twingly screensaver you get a 24/7 stream of all (viewer discretion advised) blog activity, straight to your screen.

For you guys and girls who haven’t heard about Twingly
Twingly is a spam-free, next-generation blog search engine, currently closed beta but soon to be available for everyone. And it’s made in Sweden. What I personally enjoy with Twingly is the fact that you can set up queries and then get that query and then subscribe to it in your favorite RSS reader. (Netvibes in my case). What I don’t enjoy is that the blog search indexes blogs way to slow, but that will hopefully get better.
