Jan Boklöv hade a totally different idea on how to do ski-jumping. At first he wasn’t aloud to jump V-style even though he flew a lot longer. Finally people had to give in and he changed the sport.
One of the most common responses one gets when presenting an a brand new idea or outlining a strategy on how to achieve something is “Well, that’s a great idea, but…” and then that someone goes on and on about how things are done, how others [click to continue…]
Ideas are like bubbles. They appear and look beautiful. But only to be gone seconds later. Catch them while you can.
I’m in the middle of building a brand platform for a brand I love. It’s been a long process and I’m only days from delivering the final document. In other words, I’m in the end of a creative process and I have to make the final decisions that will steer this brand in a direction for the coming years if not decades.
When I’m at this stage of a project I’m always pending between knowing exactly what I want and then suddenly not feeling that sure at all about what I want. I call this part the creative chaos. Creative chaos usually occurs in the beginning of [click to continue…]
Tons of people I meet tend to be envious of the entrepreneurial life. There’s this fantasy about leading a life that you, and no one else, control. People who are hired always seem to be looking for the next move. Very few actually seems pleased about working for someone else. Then of course there’s people who love their work and would like to spend the rest of their life working for their boss. Now I thought it’s time to give birth to this baby even though most of it was written about two years ago, before Facebook got big, the iPad and more.
When you read it – remember I pushed publish to share the love, not the excellent writing.
This post covers how you start and run a company practically for free.
The post will guide you all the way from day one until you’re up and running and need to consider things like sales, advertising, process support, crm, intranets, extranets etc etc.
I spend about 1-2 hours a day [click to continue…]
Another day passes. Tick tock tick tock tick tock tick tock. I don’t know about you but personally being rich is about having lots of time for my family, friends and the things I love. This is what life is all about.
I remember way back when I was fresh out of school. When I spoke to people about making ideas come to life I almost always valued the idea based on how much money it would generate. Now I value ideas based on how much time they’ll free for me and how proud I’d be to tell people about the actual idea. Back then my dream was to sit in a fancy building downtown. Fancy
