<p><span class="drop_cap">A</span>bout a month ago I wrote <a href="http://www.ronnestam.com/2008/08/17/actroids-will-be-the-puppets-of-future-art-directors/" target="_self">a post on Actroids</a> and how they will be the tool of future art directors. Then today I <a href="http://fallontrendpoint.blogspot.com/2008/09/virtuality-image-metrics-emily.html" target="_blank">found</a> this YouTube video showcasing Emily that explains to us what Image Metrics is. The thing is, Emily isn&#8217;t really a real woman, she&#8217;s a 3D generated actor &#8211; an Actroid.</p>
<p>They&#8217;re here and they are pretty darn scary. However I&#8217;m not half scared as Brad Pitt or Julia Roberts. They must be shitting their pants. I wonder how much they&#8217;re getting paid for a face scan?</p>
