Hey T,

Nice to see you leaving tracks here :)

I agree with you and I think we've only seen the start of these kind of integrations. Besides Facebook I think we can expect both Google Friend Connect and Twitter integrations soon.

I think they did more than Crowd gather. ( although I'd bet money they don't even realize it. Well Facebook does, but not CNN )

I RSVP'd, signed in, and participated with the 2 or so other million on CNN.Live FB, and I loved it! As an American living abroad with such a large group of international friends and colleagues, it was priceless to share it with so many of them as it was actually happening. It was real emotion in real time!

Historical in so many ways, no question about it.

Got me wondering how I could go through another big event without such a feature. You nailed it, like say, the Super Bowl. Live comments about the game, and then the commercials. And with all of my friends that aren't at the same Super Bowl party as me.

Or say, during the next World Cup. South Africa is not as easy to get to as Europe for most, so most will be online or glued to their tv. Would love to trash talk and share that moment with my friends from all nations.

Back to real moment at hand. Kudos to CNN for actually having video streams and commentary that was different from their CNN tv channel, and more aligned with their target group of FB participators. I watched the infamous CNN boys (Wolf Blitzer and Anderson Cooper ) on CNN with my Sling stream because I actually wanted to hear their take on the moment. However, it was definitily refreshing that I could mute them and go to the CNN.Live feed from FB, which had commentators that spoke in non-political jibberish and less bantering.

All in all, great experience, and I'm looking forward to seeing this integrated more and more.
