För nästan precis ett år sedan blev jag intervjuad av Göran Adlén, god vän och populär föreläsare. Ämnet då var digitala och sociala medier och hur framtiden såg ut. Sedan dess har jag varit ständig (nästan alla fall) gäst i TrendTV och fått friheten att uttala mig och lite vad jag vill.
Nu var det dags igen. Förra veckan när fröken Sol bjöd på ett strålande humör bjöd jag över Göran och TrendTV’s producent, filmare och editör Robin Danehavtillika uppskattad personlig samarbetspartner på grillkväll hemma i Täby. När vi smörjt kråset och dukat av bordet var det så dags att till viss dela svara upp mot förra årets sägningar samt dela med mig av mina tankar om framtiden.

Just when I thought I was done renovating our home I ran into this control system that enables regulation and control of our complete building with the touch of a finger.
The Gira Control 19 Client is a PC-based control and regulation unit with a touch screen. It becomes a home station for door communication in combination with the Gira DCS-IP-gateway. The Gira Interface makes all functions easily accessible.

What I truly love about this system is the fact that you can build whatever you want on this platform And just recently they also released an iPhone app that lets you control your house while you’re on the road.

As soon as I’ve got this system Installed I’ll follow Jesse Rosten’s example below and buy a couple of iPads and iTouches to be attached to my wall with some velcro. And then the control of my house (and the rest of my life) will be completely mobile.
ps. These Giro guys truly need some guidance when it comes to digital marketing. Low res photos and YouTube videos only in German makes it pretty hard to spread the news.
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you would know by now that I’m a big fan of sharing ideas and thoughts. Internets biggest contribution to a better world is exactly this – getting rid of protectionism and replacing it with sharing knowledge.
Together we can tear down the walls of monopoly built up by multinational companies more interested in giving money back to shareholders than actually building great things for the people. The open source culture is probably the best example of this with code like Android, MySQL, WordPress, Drupal, Linux but also real objects like the 3D printing Makerbot and Frankencamera 2.0 by Stanford to prove that it works. We’re living in exiting times!
Now that’s a sort of long introduction to this short link tip. But I felt I needed to remind you all to share your knowledge before sharing my knowledge about the Yahoo Design Stencils. This initiative by yahoo is yet another example of sharing. Yahoo has this section called All Design Patterns where you can find all their best practice thinking on usability and design for both mobiles and the online world. Then a couple of clicks away you’ll find all these great thoughts in downloadable templates for Photoshop, Omni Graffle, Visio and…yes you name it!
I am pretty darn proud to announce that I’ve been picked as a member on the jury of the first international social media award show for communication and marketing professionals. The award show called The Bees Award will be held in San Francisco on November 9 later this year and it’s open for submissions as of today.
The Bees Award have gathered some of the leading social media experts from around the world to judge this award and I’m honored to be included in that list.
